Details of the issue:

I have 64 bit windows and 64 bit java and have the recommended amount of RAM allocated​

Is the recommend amount of RAM one gigabyte?

It recommends between 2 and 4gb of RAM allocated on Curse

Then you want to remove that argument.
There's two arguments in there that change the maximum memory. One for +- 5 GB and one that changes it back to 1GB after that.

So you should remove those.

ok i tried this and the game loads fine until 5/7 and then it stalls and never continues

Could you share your new game log?

Check the link below to make sure that you do not have a system variable set for java . If you do then remove it as that entry will override any memory settings.
