Well, I only have two games on my Windows 8 PC, they are Minecraft/FTB and Crysis 3.

To be totally honest, there shouldn't be any compatibility problems, except for where it modifies a removed feature such as the win7 start menu or login screen

The only program I can't run is the Adobe CS2 Applications which were made for Windows 2000

Any game will work with Windows 8, if you find it doesn't work, change it's compatibility settings to Windows 7 mode. The game will play as if the computer's OS is Windows 7. You can also do Windows XP, Vista, etc.

Games that I know to work with Windows 8:
Minecraft/FTB
Don't Starve
Crysis 3
Simcity
Spore
Amnesia
Slender 1
The Powder Toy (underrated simulator)
Just Cause 2
Garry's Mod
The Sims 3
Team Fortress 2

Games that only work in a different compatibility setting that I know of:
Scribblenauts Unlimited

I know that Baldur's Gate 2 works on Windows 7, if that is any help.

(And as Icewind Dale is the same engine, I think it would work too.)

Personally I don't use Windows 8, I am too lazy to update.

All the steam games will be compatible with Windows 8 but to be honest i dont believe its worth the hassel of updating i prefer windows 7 especially for gaming
