Windows .exe Crashes when using NEI

I am having trouble running playing on my Server, when i go to use NEI it just crashes

Also I believe NEI is doing something that causes a lot of fps lag. Whenever I'm in my inventory or a gui of a machine it slows a lot.

I only have noticed lag in NEI when it is searching for uses of an item....
