Windows .exe connection lost Failed to login: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

Whenever i try to join a server i get this message:
connection lost

Failed to login: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

I can create and join singleplayer worlds just fine, but multiplayer doesnt work

check your firewall. it appears the ftb launcher is being selectively denied internet access:

Okay so what i did was just turn off the firewall and i still get the same error. http://pastebin.com/vCnmHRAE console log

again, same problem. which AV do you have? i think it was avast that has some kind of browser module with it that causes problems?

i shouldn't have to tell you this, but its not recommended to disable your firewall or your antivirus entirely. you should seek out an alternative to this.
Ya i know... im gonna try things out and such and see if i get it working permanently but still thanks alot ^^
