Call it ripoff if you want, i personally think this is just like Minecraft 3.0 released right now.
So, as you can see if you clicked the link, Blockscape is kind of like a Minecraft conversion having highly advanced microblocks and using them even in worldgen. However, it is still under heavy development.
The only problem at the moment is the fact it is running on a custom engine, so it would be hard to insert any mods.

Well, the same way you could say Minecraft is a copy of Terraria, just in 3D.

Minecraft is however a "copy" of infiminer.
It isn't really copying if you change it a lot, but rather building on a previous idea.
Games like Terraria and Blockscape that sort of resembles something but yet is vastly different isn't really a copy of something, it's inspired by something.
