Avast! AV and the FTB launcher

I've updated avast to version 9 and the launcher becomes unusable and does not load up any content, it will get stuck in the console screen for 5 minutes and then maybe load up the content for the launcher to allow me to login to play. Disabling the shield control fixes the problem. so i guess this is more of a PSA rather than a request for help

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to say that I have yet to experience this then I checked if there was an update and there was. Once I updated I experienced what you described. Then I added the folder to the exclusions list and it worked much faster. The pack still took a while to load though that is normal. Go into the settings of Avast! and then Antivirus. Then finally scroll down to the exclusions list and add the folder path to the launcher.

forgot about the exclusions part! was that for the file shield i assume?
