Airships, Tunnel bores and Quarries?

First off thanks in advance, you guys are always helpful.

So here is my problem; Ive setup my base over an ocean, which is great however its seen the spawn rate of Bauxite is beyond low in oceans. I've mined out a 200 x 200 area without finding a single piece. So I looks like Im going to need a mobile way to mine for it however this being a server chunk/spot loaders restricted (just those to block not the item that act as chunk loaders).

So at this point I'm looking for a good solution to this problem. I would prefer to use an airship however since I have very few way that I can think of to keep it loaded. Also the admin already advised me he would prefer I didnt set loose a airship quarry that would leave a path of world destruction in its wake... Tho he did say IC Miners would be fine due to the damage most being underground.

Any help or idea would be great, thanks guys again

Yes when a portal is placed it keeps the chunk it's placed in loaded.

Hmm a 16 wide by 40 tall tunnel bore could be fun .

bauxite just spawns in forest biomes, you can mine out the whole ocean without finding any bauxite.

the IC2-miners are fairly nice. set up 9 machines + the highest tier scanner, and you can quarry out a 27x27 block area with no surface damage. but you should do that somewhere, where you can find bauxite. besides that you should have an igneous extruder, so you can fill up the empty spaces. you could even set the extruder to stone, so the mined area blends again with the surrounding stone (but place a sign, that you mined there... someone could deside to mine there... and finds nothing at all.

Not much of a problem if I remove all the ore in 10,000x10,000 area.. Server admin kinda sent me to x80,000 y -80,000... I dont think ill ever tell an admin that I like solitude again. Thou he was nice an moved my space station out there with me....
