How exactly can you focus on tech in a 1.8.9 pack? There's neotech but that mod is kinda janky atm. The item pipes spill shit everywhere and the machines upgrades don't work.
Hopefully some more tech mods update or some new ones pop up.

Machine upgrades work fine. You are correct about the pipes, but most mods are still buggy as 1.8.9 modding only begun a short time ago, can't expect it to be like 1.7.10 immediately.

Work fine since when? I can't get them in to the machine. Tried draging and dropping. Right clicking with the upgrade in my hand. Hit it with a wrench both mouse buttons.
Either they don't work or im doing it wrong. That or the version I use hadn't fully implemented the upgrades.

Since I've been using it.. Are you making the Thermal Binder? Placing an empty mother board in the left slot, and placing all your upgrades in the upgrade slot(s) then hit start. It will build your motherboard once done, place it in the machine.. Been working fine for me since 2.3.4 version.

Ah I see you said right click with upgrade in your hand.. Yes you are doing it wrong.. You need to do what I said above, make a Thermal Binder, place empty MOBO in it, upgrades in the upgrade slots and hit start. :) hope you get it working. Let me know if you need any other help.

So the thermal binder is a necessity. I was just dragging the upgrades without using the binder.

Does it explain that at all? Or am I just blind?

Yes you need the thermal binder to actually make the upgrades. You make that, power it with RF, place an empty Motherboard in the left slot I believe, then you have 4 upgrade slots for smug eases, place them there, once done, press start, it'll begin turning the empty motherboard into a upgraded one with the upgrades, once done it'll appear in the right slot.. Then just click the motherboard tab on the machine and place the upgraded motherboard in that slot and the machine will have its upgrades. :)
