Okay guys, after a long break, I think it will a good idea to make a small report.

3.2.+ updates I met on a new v.2 base ( 2016-04-15_17.53.15.png ,
26835-788f9db17a552062366d8d3e0bef2760.jpg
). Its construction took a wagon and a small truck of stuff and two or three weekends of waiting for update.
After the bare frame, I took up the interior. Total, according to my idea, it was needed two spacious floors, some solar pannels, workshop a la Sapient (
26836-57f841fd3de0a3ae9eab5adffd6057e7.jpg
), cellar. And Omnifarm on right wing, ofcource. On first floor some multiblocks and small automatic grinder on E-IO sorting system (
26843-71cde0e988d265ebe563faae597c257f.jpg
,
26840-c9790a8515614ca86ee339149f904dc6.jpg
) - large wooden chest, some buffers and filters, and yep, it's work fine - in ME+Drawers storage I get only final product. Since you have MV, some quartz and obsidian - make storage system is not a problem (
26846-6d9178fce1f171809eacbb18beb56e3a.jpg
). Second floor is empty for now, but not for long.

The energy for workshop is generated by solar panels,12x8+16x8 array if preciese, residues goes to energy storage in energy storage in cellar, which feed all processing with multiblocks, also I have a corn field, these guys (
26847-78f1e870adbe2d3ef3cf60ab3807d49e.jpg
), simple setup in cellar - two compressors, macerator, reservoir and pyroluse oven (in its place once stood an IC canner, but oven much more brutal with its size and +20% for biomass production), and hootch machine 9000 on kitchen (
26850-ec326045649086826e42641853b4d0d6.jpg
, 40 IC fermenters+40 semifluid heat generators). This give me enough biogas for 3 MV gas turbine and constant 378 eu/t with some amount of fertilizer for crops breeding. Wiring on EV, energy storage is MFSU from old 3.1.x base, last sample of "old" technology.
And this is just the beginning :D.

Hm? Manganese? I thought there is no such thing as manganese vein, and you only can gen Mn as byproduct of Tungstate ores. Need to check oregen book.

There is one, its not named manganeese thought. Think it was spessartine or something like that. the ore in question can be directly smelted into manganeese so should be rather easy to find in NEI

Hi guys, I have a little (no so little) math question, is the biogas totaly broken?

taking 8 potatoes for the whole process I get (actual test values with loss not theory)
I get 22,048eu going the methane route including machines energy use and 185300eu for the biogas, am I missing something? is it intended?

can't find subtitles and I don't speak his language :( , can you sum it up quickly?
is there a key thing I didn't get?
He is talking about what is the most efficient crop to produce methane; result is that it is pumpkin
however, I think this result would be like this only and only if you use IC2 sticks (else, pumpkins would take x2 space); and the author is not taking into account Thaumcraft plant acceleration (I'm pretty sure the lamp does not work with plants on sticks).

As for biogas, I think its more intended to be used as Jetpack fuel, then to be used as energy fuel.

Found an iridium vein, still no manganese one...

You mean you havnt been raiding dungeons, towns and thaumcraft altars?
They almost always have manganese and other t1/2 metals (steel, copper, bronze) in chests... i've half a stack of the stuff before i've even finished setting up my EBF.

In order to create sufficient biogas, you need a sizable amount of distilleries and effectively one more turbine than distillery plant (i havnt experimented with using the next stage up of turbine), i've got a two horse system with three LV turbines - my workings and testing showed that each GT distillery could effectively support a pair of turbines with its output - i left it running for about 4 hours while i had an unscheduled nap the other night and came back to a full drum of gas and a stopped system, granted its not an ideal system of making massive quantities of power, but it is a nice little charging station for batteries while i figure out fuel manufacture and makes me less dependent on steam.
I think what youre seeing, is the fact that biogas is converted on a 1:32 ratio, this basically means for every one bucket of biomass you get 32 buckets of biogas, whereas you get 72mb (i think) per potato for methane - either system is still a profit, even when you factor in the cost of operating the fluid canner and machine related power losses.

I had an interesting happening last night, one that forced me into creative mode for a moment ... it seems there is a "splash" radius on GT machines catching fire from rain, ie ... rain falling over a block away caused my wiremill to burst into flames and explode, i guess that will teach me to remove solar boilers that i had over those machines.
It didnt make any sense because, knowing full well that gt machines explode when they get wet, after i removed the boilers i'd placed a shield of cobblestone over them - the shield of stone provided a direct cover from rain, but it was falling on the blocks beside (which were ordinary vanilla stone) - heres where this makes no sense, ive covered machines from direct rain in this way before and nothing like this has ever happened.

I am trying to upgrade my server from 3.1.23 to 3.2.3.1. On firing up the server with 3.2.3.1 the load stops with the following message:

[Server] Server thread/ERROR [FML]: There are unidentified mappings in this world - we are going to attempt to process anyway.

I try to connect even though it is still is red. It says "Server is still starting! Please wait before reconnecting." So I assume that the load has hung.

Any ideas about what went wrong?

Is anybody here familiar with the Industrial Craft 2 crops? I've found guides, but I'm unsure if they're accurate for this version. Does anybody have any advice on how to finally get some coppon, tine, and plumbilia?

To grow tin copper and lead under each plant is necessary to put the corresponding block
