Hello everyone,

I recently started playing GT New Horizons, and i really like it! I played beyondreality and infitech before, but so far ( I am currently in the bronze age ) this pack feels the most balanced with all mods compared, and all the mods are integrated into eachother in a way I have never seen before. Because of this, I would like to thank DreamMasterXXL for his incredible work on this modpack. (Who would expect that 4 bbf's would give some nasty pollution? Brilliant)

Furthermore I would like to ask what version I should use. I am currently using 2.0.1.3, which is marked as recommended and stable according to the post on page 39. Would it be nice to try the beta's, or are those really unstable?

And a question to those who are more experienced than me, how do you guys deal with mobs? I keep dying and switching to peacefull because of the frustration.

As a last thing, I'm currently running the modpack on an old laptop with 4 out of 6 Gb of ram allocated to minecraft. It has a dedicated graphics card, and when the pack is loaded it runs suprisingly well ( render distance 10, graphics fancy, worst frame drops to 30 fps.) The only thing I noticed is that the load times are very long, even when the gregtech config files are already in place. So is there any way of solving this, or is it something I have to live with?

I am happy you like playig the pack.

2.0.1.3 is the stable version now i hope 2.0.2.5 will become the new stable version in a few days.

Mobs are hard at the start. I be in Lv age now/or hit it (starting a new game a few days ago) but when you making your fist jetpacks in lv/mv and bettre Armor and Bows/Crosbow mobs becomes more easy.

Yes long loading time is normal in a big pack like that (with Gregtech)

I am currently working on the first stuff for lv machines, such as electron tubes and a whole lot of rubber. I hope that will help with the mobs.
