    What is the bug:
Not sure where to post this, tried with the server hosting at creeperhost they are stumped.

When generating worlds in MystCraft (Single player is just fine) on our server. We get the following error in the server logs, and everyone disconnects.

[Server thread/WARN]: Failed to handle packet for /
    03:28:18 java.lang.NullPointerException

    any ideas the problem?

    Mod & Version: log:
This is the clientside of things, basically 100% similar with other users on my server at CreeperHost. everything seems to load, some weird things in there no idea if any of its bad or not (red text here and there) and then the Disconnection during the MystCraft Portal.

This is fairly common. I believe the issue is that entering a mystcraft age for the first time generates a *ton* of new chunks, which lags the server significantly. The server will continue running, but every single client will try to talk to the server and won't get a response (because it's busy), so they think they've timed out.
I had this happen on my old server just from a very low TPS (due to the demanding modpack being more than the server could handle) and even without using portals our players would occasionally all get kicked.

Unfortunately I don't know of any way to fix this, other than boost the server specs or hack away at the way minecraft generates chunks in hopes of improving performance. The way I deal with it is to discourage making new dimensions when many people are online, and only do it while there's not too many people. Also, if your server has the memory to handle it, I'd recommend putting chunkloaders on portals to make it easier on the server when a player goes through.

Server seems to really be struggling for CPU power, this tends to happen a lot on smaller VPS's. To be honest creating new DIMs in 1.7 is pretty hard on systems to begin with.

If not yet, install Fastcraft on server too, it makes creating chunks little bit easier for CPU, but by no means it aint a miracle cure for it.
