pack downloads and launches just fine, but as soon as i try to create/load worlds it crashes

This looks to me like you're not allocating enough RAM. Have you tried 2GB min and 4GB max?

As noted by some FTB-member : this pack needs at least 2GB of RAM, 4GB is recommended.

Go to settings and raise the slider to the right to increase the amount of RAM to at least 2GB or more.

no that's not it I'm having the same problem and I have my RAM set to 7.0 GB

You can't have the same error if you have allocated 7gb of ram. Giving it that amount of ram is not going to help and could give you worse performance.
