    Solved Running with 2gigs of RAM now, or maybe 1.5? hasn't gotten that far yet. Sorry for the constant posting, but the edit main post feature seems to be broken.

    Eh, no. I can run Java applications at 4 gigs of RAM, on a PAE-enabled system I've run Tekkit with 2gigs max. (which is not a problem with me, since tekkit SMP would rarely need more than this). I've checked the task manager, I had minecraft running at 1.7gigs at one point... Edit: Kind of...

    I'm running 6gigs of RAM (PAE-Enabled Kernel) on 32-bit Windows 7 Is there a reason that the FTB launcher only lets one use the game with 1GB of RAM? It is to my understanding that processes on 32-bit (36-bit in this case) operating systems can use up to 4 gigs of RAM. So... Is the limit...
