Have you stepped into said fire? If you haven't, try it and see if it burns you. If not, it's merely a visual glitch in which the grass and fire textures have been mixed up somehow. If it does burn you, then I don't have a clue what it could be.

To the mod pack makers, the mod makers, and everyone donating their time towards making stuff for FTB, I want to personally thank you. If it weren't for you guys, I'd have nowhere to go to play a different minecraft when I grow tired of the vanilla stuff. You're all super awesome.

I don't want to farm the node or build a box around it. I want to get rid of it. Like I said, I'm getting struck by lightning every couple of minutes. Building a box around it isn't going to stop that.

It's not a dark node, just a regular one that has gained a lot of flux somehow. I put the dots at the front so that you guys could get a clear picture of which way the transformers are pointed. I know very well that they're the outputs. I guess I should have mentioned that I've pointed each transformer in every direction in a desperate attempt to get it to work, to no avail.
