    Question about Turtles

So you are actually switching redstone signals through 34 different devices?

    Question about Turtles

    while true do for i=0,15 do redstone.setBundledOutput("left",math.pow(2,i)) os.sleep(16) end redstone.setBundledOutput("left",0) redstone.setOutput("back",true) os.sleep(16) redstone.setOutput("back",false) for i=0,15 do redstone.setBundledOutput("right",math.pow(2,i))...

    Question about Turtles

So the order is this: Power object for 16 seconds Power piston 1 for 16 seconds Power piston 2 for 16 seconds . . . Power piston 32 for 16 seconds Start over Right?

    Question about Turtles

Programming the computer would be even easier than getting the turtle working. How long do you want each piston to be on for? How many pistons? And do you want the pistons to turn on one right after the other?

    Question about Turtles

If all you are doing is turning on and off pistons in place, turtles would not be the ideal solution. Have you considered using a standard computer and running bundled cable down the piston row, with a different color powering each piston?

    Squeezers and Gates!

Yeah, the routers are really worth it if you are running like 10 squeezers. Then it is only the ender chest and the two routers supporting the bunch of them.

    Squeezers and Gates!

I keep forgetting about those super handy vanilla hoppers. Just put the hopper pointing down into the squeezer and the ender chest on the hopper. It will keep the squeezer full automatically with no spillage. Hoppers autofill themselves from inventories above themselves.

    Squeezers and Gates!

Depends. Do you want to put stuff in one or more squeezers?

    Squeezers and Gates!

You might try using Routers from Factorization. A Router with a Machine Filter upgrade and an Ejector upgrade can auto fill one squeezer. 2 routers could autofill any number of squeezers.

    Family Gaming

This "Family" server sounds quite interesting. Could even develop into friendly competition between families and be a real neighborhood like experience. If this ever gets off the ground I'd be really interested in moving in with the Twisties!

    Grief Prevention for FTB Unleashed?

This is what MFFS is for, no?

    Rednet help requested.

I set up an advanced computer with an interactive screen to control automation of my faucets individually. It can auto dispense to a table for ingots, and/or a tub for blocks independently, controlled by clicking buttons on the monitor. It was actually a lot of fun to write. There are no...

    Auto-crafting... Am I missing something?

The ME Bridge from MiscPeripherals would let you use a single ComputerCraft PC to manage any number of craftables.

How to get steel in Unhinged?

Greg nerfed the google mod. Minecraft now interfaces with your web browser, and it costs iridium plates to do searches. You don't even want to know what NEI costs now...

How to autocraft tesseract with AE?

I too use the two dedicated pearl/red stone pairs as they work much faster that way. If you want to use a single, I recommend looking into MFR Sorters as a replacement for diamond pipes. Cheaper and faster. Vanilla hoppers are also great for buffering.

    AE level emitter question

Do export busses have adjustable priority now? They didn't used to. Another option, for more precision control of charcoal output, is to point the emitter at the powered furnace and just leave it dedicated to logs as it will remain full when off.

Advanced diamond drill: fortune III or silk touch?

No. It was a weird frame like thing with a horizontal post through the center that you could mount any tool to. It would simply start swinging whenever there was a block in front of it. I believe I remember it being called a "block breaker" causing some confusion with the RedPower block, but...

    Family Gaming

I love playing minecraft with my kids, LittleTwisty and MiddleTwisty. I'm an electrical engineer by trade, and have used the game to teach them programming techniques and manufacturing controls concepts. It has been a great way to get them interested in engineering, and has been a lot of fun...

Advanced diamond drill: fortune III or silk touch?

I always build both. The silk touch, as has been mentioned multiple times, is great for long mining trips due to inventory usage. It is really quite easy to drop items that yield better with fortune into a turtle that keeps placing as you break with the fortune pick in front of an obsidian...
