    Never Underestimate Small Boilers!

The engines do explode if they aren't throttleable. (like the RC steam engines) i wasn't speaking of explody pipes, since that hasn't been in since unleashed 1.1.3 at the least. (1.1.4 has the early iteration kinesis pipes, from before they got renamed.) If there is nowhere for the energy to go...

What is the best Tinker's Construct Material should I use for the Tconstruct Bows

The benefit of TiCo isn't that it is nesesearily superior to an equivalently enchanted kit. it is that it removes the hugely annoying vanilla enchantment system, and replaces it with one that uses normal resources instead. no need for any XP, just put whatever you want on the bow and arrows...

    Never Underestimate Small Boilers!

engines have another way of going boom too... if any one section of the power conduit leading from the engine unloads, so that the engine is now unable to transfer it's power anywhere. It will rapidly disassemble itself and anything close by after a while as well. this is also true of steam...

What is the best Tinker's Construct Material should I use for the Tconstruct Bows

I've been waiting for someone to post that for ages now. As for the math. yeah. i agree with the above poster. I had actually done the math earlier myself, but figured I'd leave the exercise of math to others this time around. so well done mate. There really is no point in anything above...

What is the best Tinker's Construct Material should I use for the Tconstruct Bows

well.. to be fair. Alumite is better than steel. assuming all heads are compared with slime rods and feather fletching, we find that alumite is lighter than steel for the same base damage. 1.40 vs 1.98 Many otoh is much heavier for another half heart of base damage. 1.4 vs 2.59. cactus arrows...

What should i do with all this wheat?

well. it is like this. for every mainstream LP'er who went with a FTB run, FTB's ranks were swelled by an influx of new players. or rather. the followers of using mods swelled. since not all modded minecraft players actually, you know. play with FTB. there are other groups out there after all...

What should i do with all this wheat?

Except they weren't. others were doing it long before they started. you just happen to not have noticed because you yourself weren't ready to start using mods yet. LP'ers like hypnotoad and direwolf20 were doing modded let's plays long before there was even any talk of using packs and...

    The rebirth of IC2 ?

going by how long it takes to make even a single bucket of UUM in forgecraft 2.. well.. I hope you are patient. even diamonds costs bucketloads to make. I bet they make uranium costs a tankfull.

What should i do with all this wheat?

I have a contraption that might disturb you greatly then: This was a FTB:Ultimate contraption. back then we didn't have no fancy slaughterhouse to play with. Hope you like your steaks well done ;)

    The rebirth of IC2 ?

So do I. Trains are way awesome after all, but outside of creative building once i am already gone up the techladder and into quasi creative mode I rarely go with trains. despite the coolness. it just takes so much time to set up properly, and with quarries. damn. having to move the kit every...

    The rebirth of IC2 ?

definately. there are lots of cool stuff in IC2 that is just broken. not just the rubber sheets. there is also the sticky dynamite issue and on and on. problem is, if you are going to have to rebuild a mod, you have to do it from the inside out. They have to fix the core issues before even...

    The rebirth of IC2 ?

Yes. it does indeed. the lack of consumption was the biggest issue with IC2. a couple of geotherms could keep anything short of a matter fab running continuously. couple that with near infinite nether lava and solars, and well.. the coolness factor of most IC2 builds just plummet. With more...

    Tinkers Construct smeltery questions.

If the pack does not have Natura as well, then yeah. getting slime early is a bit of a pain. more or less forcing you to find a swamp early on for progression. with natura however, slimes become so common that they are a real nuisance at times. also. slime trees on floating islands in the sky...

Beware the spectral bee's Reanimation effect.

it will crash once the entity count floods the memory allocation of the server. how fast is dependent on how much memory the server has. clients will be tossed out before that happens tho. this is much worse than even a broken quarry tho, since it's exponential growth until ragnarok

What is this floor made of?

wow... now that is something i want. prolly gonna spend a week perfecting a single floor, then suddenly notice that i haven't even started on the roof yet

    Tinkers Construct smeltery questions.

I do not know about the magicfarm pack, but in unleashed we have access to vanilla crafting alongside the TiCO stuff. disabling vanilla would simply break a large number of mods that are dependent on vanilla tools as part of their crafting recipes. I imagine this to be true of some of the magic...

    The rebirth of IC2 ?

void ages can be very very cool. especially if you can get one with wooden tendrils or something similar. and a nice sky color. DW20 is using the most featureless voidage possible i think. The other thing making his bases look so sterile is that he just isn't capable of building a nice house...

    The rebirth of IC2 ?

A dispenser is a right click device yes? so a block breaker/dispenser/deployer style combo should actually be capable of automating the creation of reinforced stone.

    Tinkers Construct smeltery questions.

buckets are vanilla, so you have to use the vanilla method of cooking up iron ore. iron ore is mineable with stone tools, so no catch-22

What is the best Tinker's Construct Material should I use for the Tconstruct Bows

your bow info is not correct. jagged does nothing to the arrow DPS. arrows use the arrow durability when calculating the jagged bonus, and since arrows do not take damage they get no bonus. the bow do not benefit from jagged either, unless you use it to bash mobs over the head with it. if you...
