The best way I've found to get bones is a mob tower or a skeleton spawner. I've been ridiculously lucky in the past with getting bones by the stack. A single stack of bones will make food for a looong time ;)

I'd suggest two energy tesseracts, with one hooked up to whatever you use to charge your redstone energy cell. If you watch the wrath flame as you make dark iron in a wrathforge, you can watch the flame get dimmer/smaller. If you wait for a little bit it will go back to full strength. It is quite possible 16 uses is the maximum possible without allowing it to heat back up.
