    What's your 1.6 modlist?

I'm currently using a very "slim" modlist, chugged away nearly all tech mods to get a more low-key, simple modpack focused more on nature and magic and without any advanced technology. More focus on actual survival, so no map mod. Railcraft Thaumcraft Thaumic Tinkerer Tinker's Construct...

What mods do you focus in? That matters a lot.

    Was ethanol nerfed?

I don't see how it's that "niche" when still a large group of people are playing like that and prefer it, and it's arguably more major mods going in the "nerf" direction than the "buff" direction. To the mods going in a more manual and a bit slower tech pace way, I'd add in Thaumcraft and to...

    Remove lava?

What patch are you playing? In my experience, since 1.52 flowing lava without a source will disappear, though of course more slowly than water. I know in 1.47 it didn't; flowing lava could become some sort of semi-source block that couldn't be touched but still was there, but it's never happened...

    Remove lava?

Is there any reason why you can't use a buildcraft pump?

Yes. Moss is much slower than you're mining. So while moss determines the amount of blocks per minute you can mine in total over the course of a whole day, durability will determine how many you can mine in a row. And for the same reason, yes, stonebound is helpful on a moss weapon.

    TiC, auto-repair, Item Frames

Huh? Has that been changed? In the 1.5.2 version I played moss regen worked when the item was in a chest, albeit at the slower rate (as no sun-shine)

    Where does this go?

Nexus can also refer to making a mystcraft world nexus with lots of books. Could that be the thing? That they entered lots of different new worlds in rapid succession?

Both designs work. I find the 3x3x1 easier to use, but requires a liiittle more setup as you need slabs or fences blocking the lava from falling out.

Yes. If Stone/Diamond is like this: SSS SDS SSS and you have a stone hammer and mine the diamond, the diamond will break (after eight years of beating it). If you break one of the stones, the diamond will drop. Unless that has been fixed in later versions (I think it is a bug rather than...

Dartcraft: One of the most overpowered mods of our time

I don't see how there's any "hate" here and I might have missed it, but I've seen no negative statements about bluedart either, except for saying that he's using code that one shouldn't use with the force wrench. Saying something might not be in line with other stuff in the pack (in other...

I don't get what you mean? The reward for spending the time is getting a working tool in this case? I mean if you don't sink time into repairing, you get stuck without tools.

Sorry for being unclear: "That's basically what survival minecraft is you know" should be "That's basically the difference between survival and creative minecraft you know ;)" Not saying "well go play creative" but honestly, the reason we play survival is because we want a bit of time sinks...

Honestly, with spoils bags it's quite an easily avoided problem - they could simply give stuff from a set list of stuff and not incorporate the drop lists from other mods.

Most things in survival minecraft are time sinks. That's basically what survival minecraft is you know ;)

Dartcraft: One of the most overpowered mods of our time

Or a turtle, as said. That's probably the easiest solution if it's just a few force engiens. If we assume the creator want the mod to be widespread, ze should because many people will opt not to use mods that screw up the balance of other mods too much. Where the limit is varies from person to...

Turtles can also be used for getting milk. It's cheaper, but not as simple putting it up. I guess it depends on how many you have - if you just want 3-4 engines a turtle might be preferable, but if you're having an array of 30 engines using a MFR rancher would be simpler.

Paper isn't too powerful. The IC2 recharging addon is. Really. Without that, using paper has a significant disadvantage on any part except tier one bindings, and there the choice may differ between stonebound, paper, and cactus. Since apparently reinforced is kinda sucky it's not really worth...
