You guys are probably right. Now, I don't think that EE3 was ever meant to be used this way. But I really can't complain, particularly not here.

But what if you walk into mcdonalds, and cheeseburgers are 10$, but big macs are free? Would you bother to buy the incredibly overpriced cheeseburger? I'm not trying to malicious or self-centered. I'm just saying what I think is a problem, and people can use that in whatever way they like :/

Not really, obsidian pipes don't require a Redstone signal, and are easier to use in larger quantities. Nobody's mentioned the RP Manager yet, which can often negate the need for laggy Timers. They're expensive though :|

RP Tubes are much more powerful than almost anything BC Pipes have to offer, no question asked. But they're also a lot more expensive and complex to deal with (and often more laggy). I do use BC pipes for their obsidian and void pipes though, those are really handy.

You'll need to add the throughness upgrade to your router for this, but what if you attach a chest to your barrel wall, at the farthest point from the router? So, if all barrels are full, the overflow goes into the chest, and you can use a sorting machine to put it back through your system.
