When I last played Forestry, The bee house will allow you to keep ignobles virtually indefinatly but the clevats are you must restock the bee house manually as they cannot be automated (by design) and they do not allow cross breeding. The plus side is that the bees lifespan is trippled.

I would recommend watchng Florastar's Bee University (playlist). The video may be a few years old but the mechanics are still the same with todays packs.

Fortune does not affect blocks that drop themselves like iron and gold ore. This is a vanilla mechanic. This is true even for modded items like a Tinkers pickaxe.

SkyFactory 3 (when I last played it) had it's own version of Vein Miner called Ore Excavator and you use it exactly like vein miner. Just don't go accidentally mine out your platform.
