Item transfer pipes from open blocks might be able to help out. The upgrades can make it insanely fast. But 4000+ might be pushing it EDIT: A fully FULLY upgraded item transfer pipe should be able to move 4096 items.

I use harvesters. I haven't had any problems.

When using most silk touch tools, just remember the silk touch affect only effects the first block touched. Flux Tools and BM tools both do this. Have been caught out before.

It is a brand new 1.7 mod so it will be in the newest packs.
