As far as I know you need to find the Tome of Alkahest as dungeon loot and is not craftable. You need to have the mod enabled on the server as well as the client.

tick "reopen launcher when exiting minecraft" this will cause the launcher to reopen and you will be able to use the pastebin button from the console.

I am not sure if you can get them back. You may have to just redo them unfortunately.

From the drop down box where it usually says recommended. You could also try moving the affected world out of the saves folder. Then create a new world with the same name then exit mc. Now copy the data from the the old world to the new one and replace any files it asks.
