    Try going to your ftb infinity config folder and open the splash.cfg file. Now change the enabled setting to false. Hope it helps.

    It could be an issue with your video card and java. Check for an update for your video card drivers. Do not use windows update or any other method other than the manufacturers website for the download.

    You are running a 32 bit os and the 1.6 packs, except FTB Lite 2, requires a 64 bit os with 64 bit java.

    That is because the 1.5 packs ran on 32bit system,s but when the 1.6 packs were released they required 64bit java which required a 64bit os.
