Have you changed anything since the world was created? You should also have a backups folder try and restore to a previous save.

You need to use the same version of the pack that the server is using. Also we need to see the complete log and use pastebin or similar if you do.

What is the rest of the specs of your system? Having 8gb of ram does not mean that the rest of it is any good.

Most likely java 8 does not work with ftb unleashed because it is not compatible with it. On a mac, from what I remember, you could use java 6 and 7 but had to update the lwjgl libraries as well, if you used java 7. I would just skip the pack and move on as it is no longer supported.

I can confirm that this crash happens with a new world. I fixed it by updating the thermal expansion mods in the pack. Do you mean if you place a fluiduct in the world the game crashes. If so, when you place it is it connecting it to something e.g a machine.

I would not suggest using that amount of memory as you would not want to starve your system. I would go for half the amount ideally 2gb upto a maximum of 4gb if 8gb was the total amount available.

What are you actually trying to do? Do you have a fluiduct connected to something? Also please use pastebin when posting logs and not a wall of text.

In the launcher options. Use the ram slider.

You don't need to give the launcher that much memory 4gb is more then enough. Also try removing all java versions and update to the latest java 8 64-bit.
