Server crashing from time to time.

Blood did some work diagnosing this error a while back, I think it was to do with a mod accessing HashMaps when it wasn't supposed to. http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/flood-console.35456/#post-541375 Your crash looks a little different so it's probably a different mod causing it in your...

Problem How to keep Mystcraft ages loaded?

I can confirm that Multiverse derps the daylights out of Forge servers. Thanks for sharing your findings with the enderchest.

Problem Mystcraft Already Decorating Server Crash

Using Java 6 with modded minecraft is a bold move!

    Light-Weight Server-Wrapper

RemoteToolKit is my pick, it's a very light-weight server wrapper, but can also detect crashes quite well when paired up with its Bukkit heartbeat plugin. You can use it to give your admins access to remotely access the console over telnet, or disable telnet and just let them control it's...

    New error message :/

java.io.EOFException: Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream That looks an awful lot like a corrupted region file. Try using MCEdit to repair your regions. Also, pastebin.com is handy for long crash reports! Open your world with MCEdit, Click the MCEdit button on the top left, Click world info...

    Server crash need help ASAP

In that case get ForgeModLoader-server-0.log from your server directory.

    Server crash need help ASAP

FTP into your server, enter the crash-reports folder, download the most recent one and then pastebin it here. If there isn't a crash report after a out of memory exception I would be very surprised.

    Problem Direwolf20 Server Crashing

One of the mods probably doesn't like the fact that you are running an old version of Forge. Try this version of MCPC instead, it's the recommended version. http://ci.md-5.net/job/MCPC-Plus-164/223/

    Server crash need help ASAP

This is the console log, find the crash report. It will tell you if you ran out of heap space (needs more -Xmx) or if you ran out of perm gen (needs more -XX:PermSize). The crash report will also tell us what parameters your start script is sending to the Java virtual machine, so it would be...

    Server crash at startup

Type: Dedicated Server (map_server.txt) java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/client/renderer/EntityRenderer Looks like you are trying to run a client-only mod on a Minecraft server. mod_ZanMinimap{Not available} [mod_ZanMinimap] (ZansMinimap1.6.4.zip) Unloaded There's the culprit...

Problem Ticking tile entity, yet again :/

MCEdit is probably the best way to remove that pipe from your map. I wrote a basic MCEdit filter here which may help by letting you delete the block at those precise coordinates: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/my-super-simple-super-useful-mcedit-filter.41190/ I notice you mentioned you...

    Forge Multipart and WorldEdit (MCPC+)

WorldEdit does not work with Forge 100% because it wasn't designed for it. Sometimes things can break. MCEdit on the other hand will preserve all Forge data, if you don't mind doing offline editing.

    Multiple instances/packs on single server?

Shared hosting providers do this, they run multiple minecraft servers on the same machine. Just assign a different port to each server using server.properties. You can even use a SRV DNS record to stop your users from having to type in the port number. This does introduce a lot of memory...

**Best FTB pack** : Server Owners Only Plz

I have to give credit to Legobear, the maintainer of the MyTown mod. He actively maintains his mod and works on all submitted bypass reports. He is currently working on the TC4 bypasses and Ars Magica dig spell protection. But your best friend is rdiff-backup and MCEdit for localised roll-back...

    Emailing our users?

PHP based websites rely on you having a mail transfer agent installed on your machine. With Ubuntu this package is called Postfix, and there is an install guide here. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Postfix I set up Postfix and my PHP based forum emails starting working immediately.

    New Server Admin

Hi there, I just chatted with Nitrous Networks, and found out they offer shared hosting with multiple Minecraft servers running on the same machine. Sadly this means you don't have root access which makes resource monitoring more difficult. In my experience the main cause of lag with Mystcraft...

My super simple super useful MCEdit filter

Hey guys, just thought I'd share a MCEdit filter I just made which you may find useful. It enables you to type in a x, y, z coordinate to MCEdit and delete the block at that location. This is great if you read a crash report, get the tile entity being ticked, and then want to quickly remove it...

Whitelist Server The Beast Unleashed [TPPI 0.3.0 | MyTown | Dedicated Server | Dynmap | Greylist | Friendly]

Dude you haven't logged on to my server since we changed maps in September, I think you are on the wrong thread.
