Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

Yes. At least it was when I tried it last time. Pretty much "gimme all these blocks from the huge radius" with no waste. Want diamonds? Sure, here they are.

Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

It's pretty much creative mode, isn't it?

Is Rotarycraft stupidly difficult or am I the stupid one?

Wow, I didn't know you can get RF from reactors... Haven't tried that mod either. Is it OK to use? Where can I read about it?

Is Rotarycraft stupidly difficult or am I the stupid one?

Though, you don't probably need that power at that point... Well we don't use RoC that heavily so we have plenty of iron for now since it's pretty common. And we don't have an autominer setup yet, just TiCo hammers. Well, I actually lost mine because of stupid p-engine mechanics. wait, how do...

Is Rotarycraft stupidly difficult or am I the stupid one?

Sludge boiler gives required stuff even less often - it like to give all the BoP stuff awailable - like mud, clay, heat sand and whatever is possible in BoP. And we don't have many farms currently - a tree farm, a reed farm and a wheat farm, all 7x7. Doesn't gas turbine use way more fuel when...

Is Rotarycraft stupidly difficult or am I the stupid one?

We decided to not use that mod at all... Currently we produce some of that stuff by a sludge boiler, but that's not enough at all.

Is Rotarycraft stupidly difficult or am I the stupid one?

Naw, I'm just a little pony with wings. *flaps his wings to prove that* Anyways, seriously, do you use jet fuel/engines for something? Because it seems like it's easier to produce power by something else... I play with a friend on his server. We are using a slightly modified Monster pack...

Is Rotarycraft stupidly difficult or am I the stupid one?

Maybe you are right, but it still sounds meh to me. Why not use an AC engine with a bunch of g-boxes to magnetize the cores then? Use p-engine to magnetize first bunch of cores and then replace it with an AC engine. Yeah, you'll use some ethanol and redstones, but those are easier to get than...

Is Rotarycraft stupidly difficult or am I the stupid one?

    1) Then why would I use my jet fuel to magnetize cores, and not to make more jet fuel? 2) Engines can be throttled down, aren't they? And AFAIR that should even improve their efficiency. 3) Gearboxes? If that matters, why would I put that much effort to make a microturbine and jet fuel stuff to...

Is Rotarycraft stupidly difficult or am I the stupid one?

Why would I use AC engines if I have a microturbine? But anyways, good to know. But it wasn't like that before when I tested all the stuff in the mod.

Is Rotarycraft stupidly difficult or am I the stupid one?

RotaryCraft is not that difficult, but I'd say it's incovenient. You have to do lots of micromanagement, mess up with inconvenient power transfer and so on. You know, like it was back in the days of IC1 and stuff. The power is actually pretty straightforward - engines produce torque and speed...

I Derp, You Derp, We all Derp, What's your's?

Another one RotaryCraft-related. I know why that happened, but I'm pissed off since it's bullshit. I just put down a performance engine in Nether. Seriously? It wasn't running or stuff. I just. Put. It. Down to assemble a setup with water and hookers.

I Derp, You Derp, We all Derp, What's your's?

RotaryCraft. Fan, powered by a steam engine. Wooden block nearby. Unnasand? Man, that fan is a powerful griefing tool.

Should ic2 be boycotted untill the power system is fixed ??

When I said "I want to control them manually" I meant controlling the speed like you do with ECU in RC now. I wasn't talking about starting or stopping the engine. Also, some kinds of engines don't use electric ignition (diesel, glow engines) they don't use gasoline, though...

Should ic2 be boycotted untill the power system is fixed ??

Did you check that out? Because I always thought that it's controlled by an air flow valve and wiki agrees with me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Throttle

Should ic2 be boycotted untill the power system is fixed ??

The way RC power is transmitted does not allow this without substantial rewrites and greatly reduced performance. I imagine that :D I completely understand that it would be very hard to use\ Well, I just think that it should be a feature of the engine itself, at least manual control with a...

Should ic2 be boycotted untill the power system is fixed ??

Perpetuum Mobile mod, actually is the something I'd probably like to see. But it should be designed in a fancy and interesting way, maybe even with a book that explains why doesn't that engine work IRL.

Should ic2 be boycotted untill the power system is fixed ??

Actually, RotaryCraft is not perfect, too, but it is good and I like it. Here's some things (other than electric engine issues I listed before) 1) Power system is kinda fine, but if you think about it, it looks like engines don't know about the load. Gas engine runs at a certain speed. You load...

Should ic2 be boycotted untill the power system is fixed ??

Because IC2 has no realism :P Regarding IC2 and Hydrogen Generators, BTW. Here's a thing - realism is not for making things exactly the same as IRL, but it should create some reasonable explanation what's going on. It's like plot in a game or movie. For example, Hydrogen generator is bullshit...
