Very good to know. I use AE extensively but I always just use import/export bus's with my level emitters so I've never come across that problem. This would certainly be annoying when trying to autocraft if your entire network is getting reset every second.

Timm has it spot on, should work very easily. However...you aren't going to get any of the new ores and world generation that FTB adds. If you have vanilla structures that you want to transfer over, another method you could do is create a new FTB world...and then use worldedit to create...
