I don't know if the Autonomous Activator + Deep Dark portal bug still works, but it's the only other thing I can think of. Also, you need to reset it every time the server restarts - which shouldnt be that difficult.

Opening the game to LAN or using your computer to host a server should do it. There's plenty of tutorials on the internet.

It's a vapourware pack (shots fired) that's supposed to feature both tech and magic while not being bloated like Monster and have tweaks to create intermod balance and just in general make the mods integrate well with each other. At least that's what I understand of it.
