I have to agree. Any ore that is not a metellurgy ore will explode either after the first or 2nd ore mined (most often the first). Pretty much impossible to get the ores mined. Prior it was seeming like nether quartz was doing it after every mine but now its all non-metellurgy ores doing it...

We just had the ticking world bit in our small server regarding the nether. I'm curious, would a some form of chunkloader to keep the nether loaded prevent the problem (as a minor workaround).

I usually go ardite for tool rods for tools for the stonebound 2 modifier. Durability really isnt an issue as with stonebound you can freeze the stonebone effect with a flux modifier.

As stated Geothermals only output at 20 eu/tick. 20 eu/tick is 40 ae units. That can power most small AE networks just fine but if you have a MAC or a lot of other stuff hooked up, 40ae units/tick wont be sufficient. Espically if your moving lots of items as those are burst AE ticks...
