Mod Feedback [By Request] RotaryCraft Suggestions

It would be a pretty interesting challenge to play RotaryCraft with a finite water mod. I'll have to try it some time.

Poor choice of words on my part. I meant that misuse would lead to rupturing.

You could easily make the waste transfer pipes (or whatever system you come up with) to have a chance to rupture, spilling out radiation and possibly corium. I mean the existing liquid pipes already can rupture and I've lost a few of mine to careless pumping. :P

Oh. I thought I read somewhere in the changelog that coal coke was required for bonus steel. Now upon doing some more research I find out that RotaryCraft has its own coal coke. Fail. I suppose you're right. Perhaps there could be some way to encourage players to dispose of nuclear waste...

I was hysterical to find out you can safely dispose of nuclear waste in a Railcraft void chest. Suddenly my giant reactor went from a huge looming problem to almost free energy. Now it can run half breeder half plutonium without any worries of waste. The reason I brought it up is because RoC...

When dealing with things such as the extractor, you want to give it as much power as you can get away with. The reason I suggested 4 AC/Steam engines into a single grinder rather than individuals is because of the torque requirement for the grinders matches perfect with 4 steam engines, and AC...

Your best bet for running the extracter before reaching the end game, based on my experience: Run a 4 wide hydrokinetic array and feed it lubricant from a few liquid distilleries. If you don't have a good source of oil (or no buildcraft) you can chain 4 steam or AC engines into a grinder. DO...

Ooh I remember you from Bukkit forums. Nice seeing you again. I must have miss-remembered how the whole system works because I was sure that you could set the power state of a block. Maybe I had a hacky way of doing it. I have to go through my old code and see if I can find it. I figured out...

I was actually pretty shocked to find that comparators facing away from Eletricraft batteries won't emit redstone based on the % of charge in the battery. Now I can't make an automatic release for batteries when they get full charge. Please fix this injustice. D': I also noticed that batteries...

Wow, massive respect to the Bukkit team for finding a way. In their API it was a simple as setting a block as "directly powered" and it would behave like a redstone block until it was redstone updated. You could also set a block as "indirectly powered" and it would work like a block with a...

It's pretty slow but because the recipe for everything is so cheap you can stack them. It's certainly a LOT faster than using steam with a grinder, but applying more power doesn't seem to increase the rate in which it processes. I know that one distillery is enough to keep a magnetostatic...

I didn't think it had a good use either until I accidentally looked up the article for the distillery instead of the fuel enhancer. Behond:

Thank you for a great response Reika. Now it's time for my counter response. Couldn't you just set the block above it to isdirectlypowered and then force a block update? I remember being able to do this in Bukkit so i'm not sure why it would be unavailable in forge. Maybe something else can...

Can you guys seriously go 2 pages without starting an argument? I'm getting sick of making suggestions to get it back on track. Well this is my last one. Excuse me if the quality is low, I've been scraping the bottom of the barrel on these last few. Player Detector: Allow it to transfer...

I didn't think that one through. Maybe it could be implemented as a joke engine with power output increasing if the player has speed and/or jump boost. Perhaps have it so that you have to manually clean out cobblestone as it piles up. That way it forces the player to have to maintain it and...

Okay, time for a suggestion that doesn't involve nerfing. Here is a suggestion that will allow for the introduction of new engines without having to change the tiering system. As you all know, engines can either be renewable, in the case of the electric engines, or they can be consumable, in...

That actually makes a lot of sense. Why didn't I think about that? Maybe you could start out with the steel shaft but as you upgrade it and put in more power suddenly *TUNK!* and it's time to replace the shaft in your engine with the diamond and eventually bedrock. Having it start out requiring...

I noticed that bug awhile back. The server in question was not mine and they refused to update due to certain mods being stuck in 1.6 (probably openblocks) as well as personal preference for the older, easier version of rotarycraft. The new one runs the latest version.

You think it's a joke until you have to start out from survival on your own without a lot of the mods that most packs contain. On the older version of rotarycraft (1.6) it was extremely and almost insultingly easy to get to the end game. Now with all the changes it's a lot harder and also a lot...
