My thoughts as well, I personaly go for AE2 for general storage + Feeding DSU/BB for ores etc(so if i get brown/blackouts i can get at coal etc) and LP for autocrafting as IMO its a bit more effecint

dop what i do, i eventually set up a sand auto maker and refill 90% of the quarry with sand (filler on horizion) then add topsoil and trees.

what early game food automation is there?

im using MC iron based atm, My biggest issue im having is pams crops are dropping usually just one crop, rarely dropping 2 meaning i cant get food, more less grow what i have, only oak apples is really keeping my food bar full.
