Unfortunately, yes. My current computer struggles with FTB in general, a little less so with AS. If all goes according to plan, I'll have the components in for a new computer by the end of the week. We'll see if it could just be my computer not being able to keep up.

Assuming the servers aren't down, is his firewall blocking FTB? Try temporarily turning off the firewall and launching FTB. If that's the problem, don't forget to turn it back on and allow the launcher and java through your firewall!

Things popping out of pipes, sounds like you're using BC? Most likely they get to the tesseract and don't see a valid inventory on the other side. Do you have a pipe connected directly to your receiving tesseract? If so, put a chest next to your receiving tesseract and pull from that chest.
