You could go with opaque item ducts from thermal, it's the servos you need to look into.. higher tier = more blocks per extraction tick. Pipe wise, until you get into warp ducts.. /shrug?

As others have said, EnderIO enchanter is quite good, just the hoops you have to jump through to make the machines now has put some folks off of it. You can use Thermal's Induction smelter to make steel/dark steel so you could skip it. Tinker's as a super easy way to get silk touch as well...

I would argue that getting into the Thermal Expansion mod set would be best for beginners. Easy to make, fun to get deep into. Mod set includes machines, power generation, and pipes. What more could you ask for in "getting to know" modded? :)

Yeah, didn't seem to work, the recipe won't cross over if it's in processing mode (no + sign) and if i start in regular and try to switch to processing it clears the recipe... Got pictures? I must be missing something

Okay..... I switch it to liquid, then it won't let me place the dusts to make signalium... using the processing does the same thing, won't let me place the dusts...

I don't think you are looking for Thermal mods, but if you can gate it, Grassoline is a good mid tier power generator. Once cactus is automated, you can set it and forget it and get a nice bit of RF out of it.
