Correct. I also did not like in AoE that the TR machines used power tiers that were not compatible with IC2 and some of the machines only work crappily or blew up.

Don't know myself. I've never used Tech Reborn vanilla. It always has used both but has been integrated with Immersive Engineering or IC2 for said plates and wires.

yes, there's nothing like seeing something like that in one of these forum posts that make you look at that huge/complicated machine you put together over one IRL day or more and realize, "self! you are an idiot" and go tear it down for something immanently simpler, cheaper and or faster or...

True, but again, in Continuum, they are using both specifically and separately. I believe, if memory serves, they did exactly that in Age of Engineering.

There was a 1.7.10 pack like that. I remember the Yogscast playing it. Would have to go back and find the pack name, but you started on a space station that had all the required resources to survive and make a rocket to get down to the planet. All the areas of the station were rogue-like...

I started IC when it was just crafted with ingots so when IC2 came out with all the hammering and snipping I quickly moved on. That's just too much time and resource waste to get a mod moving for my taste. And while yes, the Induction smelter, with enough power can me one of the fastest ways...

Unless something has changed that should work just fine. Your progression is tied to your user file not the book itself. Just make sure you spawn in a normal book not the creative book with all knowledge unlocked, unless you want that for testing.

That would work also, should respawn all dragons with that fresh pack smell included.

Well, pyrotheum was hotter to get redstone to melt with it's higher point not lower.

That sounds like something Thermal would employee. For tinkers I would expect something like that to be used with a different fuel than lava, like redstone in the 1.7.10 days needing blazing pyrotheum.

No worries. In most packs you would be correct, aluminum = bauxite.
