    True. Early on I usually have a forestry crafting table with the flint axe recipe stored, next to a set of 2x2 spruce trees. Can bag quite a few logs pretty quickly for the charcoal pit.

    You have to upgrade machines before the 'augment' tab opens. Look up 'upgrade kit' in JEI. There are four, each one allows you to add an extra augment and you have to apply earlier ones before later ones.

    Just checking - have you actually tried crafting something? I say this because the crafters only charge once you've clicked the Start button in the crafting core (at least, that was the case when I used them in the Pyramid reborn map).
