To add on to this, we discussed it in private and I'd like to apologize to @ScottulusMaximus for how we acted, and it's been fixed and shouldn't happen again.

Getting opinions on RotaryFlux and my responses

Time for me to chip in: For those that say (well, this needed to be said anyway, so even if nobody says this) Reika has no right to stop someone from doing this, you are wrong. Reika has a right to do this, according to law. You may be thinking of ethics, which people disagree on (you can see...

Sometimes all of the solutions you have to a problem are hacky.

I'll discuss with some of the pack makers in the PT about this.

Werewolfs of Wakkerdam game (Game Thread)

BTW now my vote for Tordy is more of an antismite. I really don't know if any of the people suspected of wolfishness are wolves.

Werewolfs of Wakkerdam game (Game Thread)

Accusations being thrown around when we still have more than half the day left. Interesting.

Werewolfs of Wakkerdam game (Game Thread)

From what I can see, someone voted Pyure and then other people followed along.

If it was what I think it was, then I think it's better to pretend it never happened.

    The Great Coding Language Thread

I'm still of the same opinion I was earlier. Ruby is amazing. Using Rust to write C extensions for Ruby is even more amazing.

Werewolfs of Wakkerdam game (Game Thread)

Aww, I don't get any fanboys? :( ...okay, so we've got no seers left and ljfa was a traitor. Until further notice, I'll Bandwagon Tordy for the reasons Vike outlined.

Werewolfs of Wakkerdam game (Game Thread)

Yeah, let's go with ljfa and then pursue Tordy if we don't get a better lead. All evidence against Tord is circumstantial ATM, which means it's bad, but it might end up being the only lead we have. Vote ljfa

...I must be confusing something else with GPL. One second.
  13. T

    New Version Checker Mod

By that logic, GPL isn't free (btw, from now on I'm calling it libre because I prefer that terminology - otherwise, it's hard to distinguish between free and Free). GPL disallows things using that library to be commercial software. In addition, what I linked wasn't a suggestion for this - it's...

It's possible, if an idea I have will work. I'll mention it in a moment; I need to charge my phone. EDIT: And of we could refrain from vague legal threats, that'd be nice.

Parsing, not rendering. I meant determining where the newest mod dl link was.

    New Version Checker Mod

@ljfa Look, I'm not backing down from a point. Here is a standard license I'm drafting. I'm not backing down from a point - I'm attempting to negotiate with Squid so that we can use his code rather than adding more time on to development. Parsing HTML intelligently is a huge pain. In addition, I...

    New Version Checker Mod

Again, it'll work if we get Squid to chip in (coughcoughtheconvoisalreadysetupcoughcough).

    New Version Checker Mod

We could explicitly disallow rehosting the framework. We could say that you can't rehost the software, but not extend that to anything else. If you don't package the API (which you shouldn't anyway, unless something weird happens), you can dictate if it's rehosted or not to your heart's content...

    New Version Checker Mod

I could write a custom license that explicitly disallows rehosting sites while still allowing monetization. I'll get a PiratePad set up and put CoolSquid, you, and I in a convo so we can discuss licensing.
