Can't ExU pipes and nodes be of use here? IIRC the pipes transfer all sorts of things as long as you have the correct nodes in place?

I vote for Mekanism's Digital Miner. With a full suite of energy and speed upgrades as well as the power infrastructure to support it, it mines very fast and you can set it to only mine ores and leave the environment intact. Best to use it at places people might set up a quarry at. ;)

Like what others said. I tend to use a lot of paper parts for my tools for and then slap a Leadstone capacitor on it. And because if that, my tools have a small RF capacity. That is why I carry around a Resonant Capacitor on me to offset the small RF capacity of my tools.

Can't you just use BR to generate your bulk of power, run them into MFR's Lava Generator to make lava, then run them through IC2's Geothermal Generator for EU? Or if railcraft is in, it have the steam turbine that consumes steam to generate EU too, right?
