You can't rotate the Floodgate, but Thaumcraft has the block you are looking for. Though I'm unsure how much blocks it can fill.

@BrickVoid The topic starter is playing on a server. He/she doesn't really have the option of disabling it. It is either play or not play on the server.

If you know the location of the node, you can surround it with obsidian. Obsidian blocks are one of the blocks that hungry node can't eat.

The AA uses the berries, which will spawn the xp orbs. The vacuum hopper picks it up and turns them into liquid/fluid xp. Sewers will collect the orbs and convert them into mob essence.

Well, a base with water as the "floor" makes for an unpleasant living quarters though. A 2 & 1/2 block floor works too by using half slabs for the floor and an additional 2 block height. Shouldn't be too cramp then.

In 1.7.10, does TE4 even supports EU transfer? I do remember that even back in 1.4.7, the energy tesseracts in TE only send MJ. Also, EIO is a RF-only mod. The only mod that I knows plays well with both RF and EU natively is probably only Mekanism.

The only way to protect yourself against pervs online is to, 1. Not posting pictures or videos of yourself. 2. Not giving out personal information. 3. Keep all content to be ingame only. Other than those, I can't see much reliable ways to filter pervs from legit players.
