Let him set up a quarry then tell him to just use that to get resources. Also give him a Looting III Iron Sword. With bat morph and that sword, he should get ender pearls.

Also, if you feel like it, you can go on a marathon and run around finding nodes to scan. Upside is you'll get a bunch of primals and find a bunch of nodes. Downside is you'll spend a lot of time doing it.

UU matter did change so that it's liquid now. You know have to pump the UU matter from the Mass Fabricator into the Replicator in order to be able to replicate items. The Replicator will then use EU and the UU matter to replicate items. Remember you should have a Pattern Storage and Scanner...

I encountered the same bug, but don't know the cause of it. Just make the items and if they disappear, cheat them in again. Also to note, if you make a Power Armor piece and can't shift click it to wear it, note that it will disappear later on, so you might as well cheat it in then.

If it's only you getting the lag, and nobody else, it's probably not the servers, because otherwise everyone would get it too. No idea about carrier / computer though.

They might be able to be enabled in the config settings. Might be worth a shot.

Which modpack? Also, are you using the IC2 machines? Any ore processed through those turns them into IC2 ingots.
