I tend to not mine uranium super early game because I'm more preocuppied with gold, iron, redstone, lapis, tin, copper, etc. But later on, I tend to pick up the spare uranium here and there mainly because I'll find a use for them later on.

If you're mining underground in the nether for quartz and find a cave, wall it off and go a different direction. If you want to mine in the open, make sure you have a way of getting around quickly, (I personally use bat morph ONLY for this situation: early game and trying to get some quartz).

A lot of the BoP biomes are near repeats, so I tend to destroy all of those. One or two forests are good enough for me, thank you very much. For Hats. I tend to disable it mainly because it takes so much memory and I'm anathemic to wasteful memory.

Go to the Deep Dark and enjoy the huge amounts of essence. In my experience, large amounts of neutral essence isn't needed so once you drain a couple of large lakes, you'll probably not need any more.

Qcraft? It's the most underrated decoration mod in my opinion.
