What's new in modded minecraft today?

They're actually quite different, just that RF is sensible and malleable enough to autoconvert with no real issue. It can even emulate the leakyness if one really desires it.

    KingLemming speaks!

Wow, y'all just take a simple answer and run with it, eh? Good read though.

Tabula Rasa/Custom Items discussion (was Longshot Request - hopefuly very simple)

Actually, it's N * 16 Blocks and M * 32k items. https://github.com/CoFH/TabulaRasa Code is there; it's LGPLv3, but I'll have a release at some point. It works. Some people have been running it for a bit now.

3 Steam Dynamos hooked up to a leadstone storage?

They're not useless for automation at all. They just don't break thermodynamics. There are plenty of other mods that do that easily enough.

    A trend of mod development

Well, first of all, we now ship CoFHLib as part of CoFHCore - in theory this will always be fine, as we're going to update the two at the same time. Also, ChickenBones has given us permission to repack the parts of CCLib that we are using - CCLib is not a dependency anymore - but realistically...

    COFH World Generation User's Manual

There's no good way to know at this time, sorry. Will look into some sort of info dump.

    COFH World Generation User's Manual

    Yup. Golrith has it.

Sorry, it's a throwaway mod in my mind and I didn't bother w/ proper versioning. We'll see what happens for 1.7.10.

    ELORAAM

She's obviously doing this intentionally. It's not even a question. There's really no such thing as bad publicity. Elo's not stupid - this drums up the hype and the controversy, and simultaneously makes people look towards the RP derivatives to see what the creators/maintainers do next. Enough...

    Electricraft: Briefer on Resistors

This is interesting, but appears to have very little to do with actual physics. I'm kind of surprised.

    ELORAAM

Just a random - possibly related - train of thought. How to be a "good" modder: 1) Check your ego at the door. Nobody cares. It's a game. 2) See Step 1. 3) Don't be a horrible person. 4) Do not make a mod for the purposes of being "popular." Again, see Step 1. 5) Make a mod that *you* want to...

Automatically removing items from inventoried items?

Oh silly Reika, you know better than this. There's no standard for how Inventory Container Items work. Well, there is, and it's in CoFHLib, but I'm pretty sure CoFH mods are the only ones that use it. That's why our containers don't nest. :) Seriously though it's something that needs to...

    What's the point of RotaryCraft?

The speed limit is absolutely not relative. If you are warping spacetime, you haven't changed the speed limit at all, you've actually moved the far point closer to you. Hence why it's called warping. Space is naturally doing this, actually. Cosmic inflation implies that eventually the stars will...

    What's the point of RotaryCraft?

Pre-big bang, it was event based as time did not yet exist. Currently, it's tick based. There's a maximum possible speed (light in a vacuum - m/s), and a minimum possible distance (Planck length - m). Therefore, the maximum possible speed divided by the minimum possible distance is the smallest...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

We never promised capes. From the Patreon: One of those factors is Mojang being willing to sue us if we provide capes. We have been told directly by Mojang that they would. Not the EULA - a Mojang employee directly told us not to. Period.

    TE & AE Problem?

The thing is, there's no code difference between Hardened and Redstone ducts. Like, 0. If your cells are indeed full, it does sound like a duct problem, but there's nowhere in the code path where it wouldn't also happen with Redstone.
  17. K

    TE & AE Problem?

We aren't addressing 1.6 bugs as ducts are being completely rewritten for 1.7, and pretty much every duct bug is the result of FMP, which we are abandoning. There's no sense in maintaining an issue tracker at the moment and the website is being redesigned from the ground up. I agree with you...

    A New Technological Feel

Agreed with this. Make what you want to make. But sorry @Celestialphoenix, I do have to pick on you here - when it comes down to it, no, TE's furnace isn't actually a copy of IC2's in any way. *Completely* different codebase, RS control, variable power output, ore unification, and...

Yeah, anything I make is basically CoFH general permissions. Include away.
