    Mod Feedback Thermal Series Design/Feedback

So, I figured I'd put one of these up, now that we're in what I consider a good enough state for "release." You'll notice that we dropped the RC from the version info. Updates from now on will have changelogs, located at: https://github.com/CoFH/Version Anyways, while we do have a Feedback...

As far as how things work - it's Minecraft. At least with TE, the recipes are such that the operation of the machine is sort of explained. But don't start throwing the realism argument around too much here. Otherwise, I'd encourage you to check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedrock and then...

You're against RF because it allows for easy generation and transmission of energy* and yet for EIO because it trivializes transportation and removes logistics effort for literally everything? Some days you confuse me, Reika. *entirely depending on what mods you put in your sandbox

    What happened to IC2?

This. This guy gets it. Try RF generation with only TE. You might even complain that it's kinda brutal. But, it's an open API and it's a sandbox. People can and should play how they want to. :)

    Project E and Reika's Mods

You will do no such thing. You will calm down and let it go. You are in a bit of a glass house, and you and I both know what I am referring to. People make judgement errors, people get annoyed, and RoC isn't your life. If it is, you need to step back and re-evaluate. I also encourage you to take...

Reika. Stop. You can't fix everything, and you certainly can't fix stupid. You also can't win this one. In fact, it's like thermodynamics - you can't possibly break even. Walk away from the fight before you end up walking away from the community. If somebody uses a combination of mods to...

RF Void -- consume infinite RF!

Whoa necro-post. Try a Creative Energy Cell though. ;)

Well, sort of. The problem with some of these interactions is that the stacktrace can easily point to the wrong mod. Happened just the other day with something pointing at CoFH. Unless Fastcraft is installed, then it points to Fastcraft. Fact is, it isn't either of those, it's an unknown mod...

You absolutely can. RotaryCraft is mechanical power. Just like machines in real life, once you've moved from shaft power to electricity, it's all electrons. Fundamentally - AC, DC, doesn't matter - it's all a count of electrons. Yes, you can model it with differential equations, synchrophasors...

Ender IO and Thermal expansion not working together

I don't get that error. I truly have no idea what to tell you. The Thermal series works fine, and seems to work alongside EnderIO in every instance I've tested.

Steam Dynamo and their relation to BC Pump.

The rotation behavior changed on them slightly, but in the up-to-date versions of the mods, they still auto-rotate properly. You may be slightly out of date. Lava in the Nether isn't endless, but it does last a while. Also, for lava-based power, you may wish to use Magmatic Dynamos. They're...

Steam Dynamo and their relation to BC Pump.

Honestly, I'm not sure what to tell you. The dynamo sends energy to the pump without issue. You can use a Transmission Coil Duct Augment in the Dynamo and the pump will put water into it. What you *might* be seeing, however, is an issue where the pump does not properly iterate through all...

Bug Problem Exists Between Thermal Dynamics and Mekanism

Mekanism needs to get with the new RF API it sounds like.

    COFH World Generation User's Manual

Also just something that people may not know about: https://cofh.github.io/mods/cofh-core/commands.html /cofh clearblocks is an amazingly useful command for testing World gen out to see if you've gotten it right.

What's new in modded minecraft today?

Updates for CoFH Core, Thermal Expansion, Thermal Dynamics, and Redstone Arsenal today. Mostly bugfixes - fixes a nasty comod error which cannot happen in a dev environment and it really annoys me. Also, Signalum and Resonant Filters and Retrievers have a new function - inventory stock...

Thoughts and Opinions About Modding in 1.8

It's a pretty major hassle and for me personally, there's no actual incentive to move up at this time.

What's new in modded minecraft today?

Sort of. The problem is that it's soul sucking drudgery that makes us want to stop modding entirely. Typically a bug is either too simple or way too complex for a changelog blurb to be necessary or possible, respectively.

What's new in modded minecraft today?

I've always said when we actually get to a releasable state that we'd have them. But I'm not doing tiny bugfix logs. People shouldn't be micromanaging to that degree. We push an update, and as long as skyboy hasn't touched the code, it will have fewer bugs. :P

Bug Activated Tesseracts create FPS lag.

The long term solution is to not play on a potato (your card doesn't support some *extremely* basic GLSL operations and that's unfortunate). The short term solution is to disable shaders in /config/cofh/core/client.cfg
