    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

I think you have a different expectation than most of us. You can always jump into the configuration and do some of these things yourself. @Eyamaz How's 1.1.2 looking?

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

It looks like StatusEffectHUD is having some trouble displaying a status effect. Try disabling the mod and loading the world. If that works, play a bit then re-enable the mod and you should be fine. Maybe. Backup everything, just to be safe ;)

One of your ForgeModLoader-client-x.log files should also contain that error. Seeing what happens right before the error would help. The one you provided did not contain it.

Looks like a bad potion effect? Try backing up your player.dat file and then deleting it? That should fix the bad effect but will also remove your inventory... I'm not entirely sure :(

There should be a "crash-reports" folder in your BloodNBones folder. Can you upload the file you find in there?

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

Can you provide the crash report?

Will it contain the dream world fix?

@Eyamaz Have you considered adding Thaumcraft as a mid to end game mod (i.e. Being able to do research but the infusion altar requires some higher level metals)? I think it would add another aspect to the whole experience (and some more mobs).

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

@Eyamaz Okay, I've discovered something very strange. There seems to be a very, very large spider above me... However, I can't see it when I look up, only when I'm looking down and at a certain angle. The angle is basically towards some seemingly arbitrary point in/near my base. It's been like...

@Eyamaz It's not just ores that change IDs. This is what I get when I attempt to load a world created in 1.8 with a client using 1.7: Anything relating to metal seems to change.

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

To downgrade, you'll most likely be forced to reset your world. A lot of the IDs are different (There were about 20 discrepancies when I tried). This is why I am sticking with Java 8 until I am finished with my current world.

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

Yeah, but why are they getting mixed up? It's just strange to me that the Java version could result in a different integer. I'm a certified Java developer, you can talk technical with me :P

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

I'm just curious as to how the Java version could affect item IDs. Could you (or someone else) explain?
  14. S

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

Yeah. I'm developing for Java 8 currently so it's a bit of a pain to keep switching. I can just deal with whatever comes my way. @Eyamaz What is the "item drop list" I see on your Patreon?

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

I am running Java 8, but I doubt the server is running Java 7 since I'm playing single player :P I'll just replace all my metallurgy silver with zinc.
  16. S

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

Strange, it seems Zinc and Silver are switched for me... What could cause that? I don't see an option in any configuration files for the block ids.
  17. S

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

So, I just got to the point where I need to make some brass and realized I have absolutely no zinc... I thought this was a bit strange with the enormous amount of mining I had been doing. So, I analyzed all 1500 chunks of my world and found 0, yes 0, that's none, zinc ore (ID: 914:2). Is there...

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

If I have already been to the nether, I just carve out a super long tunnel in the ceiling...
  19. S

    Blood N Bones [Hardcore Survival]

No, not really. That would require storing a bit in the block's metadata. This is fine if the mod author does the same kind of storage and does not use a conflicting bit position, but a lot of things can go wrong. I don't think it's practical (or maybe possible) for all blocks.

Has anyone found a good way to create a trap now that mobs grief trapdoors? I've tried a few things but can't get anything that works well.
