    The Ultimate Tinkers Construct Tools

Leadstone works just as well as the higher tiers.

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

Considering I mentioned the metal former in that post, you should realize it was pretty recent. I'm aware of the changes, and I think they're actually for the worse. I could play IC2 without GT, but GT was the reason I used IC2 and without it I happily left IC2 behind. I also mentioned GT...

Gigantic FTB Unleashed Redwood Trees from Natura? (Info Inside)

Actually, the 7x7 is no longer necessary. I've grown several of them with a single sapling recently, so it looks like this was changed.

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

Even when you know about them, some mechanics are just annoying. I'd known about the need for an electric wrench on lossless mode (Why?) to remove machines, but I forgot the other day and lost a metal former when I was rearranging my friend's and my base. It's not difficulty, it's pointless...

    Favourite FTB/Vanilla Mob

I love the animals from Twilight Forest. The deer look nice and the tiny birds and squirrels add atmosphere. It makes me wish Mo Creatures worked with more modpacks.

    Modded UHC tournament

So what mods *would* work for a modded UHC? Tinkers Construct seems like a shoo-in with having UHC settings built in. Rapiers might be OP though. Natura seems like a logical followup, and it would make the nether an even more dangerous proposition. Roguelike dungeons might be nice for danger vs...

What weird cross-mod combos have you found?

RotaryCraft's extractor + Certus Quartz Ore = ridiculous output. Not only does it have the whole "5 steps, chance to double at each step" thing going on, but it also for some reason gives 3(!) Certus Quartz at the output stage. Either one would be better than any other option, but together it...

Rotarycraft - the mindblower and builds

Total guess here, but I'd assume 240 is 240 ticks, or 12 seconds. I've been messing with the bedrock breaker in creative. That thing just eats power. I'm not sure what the best way to automate it is. It seems like it would require a lot of manual care no matter how it's setup, but you could...

Rotarycraft - the mindblower and builds

While OP/cheating will always be personal opinion and an eternal debate, pneumatic engines *really* make RotaryCraft much easier. With it's ore multiplying system, that can drift into the realm of "OP" very quickly in my opinion. I just set it up on the server I play on (magmatics feeding into...

Issues with connecting? Please report them here.

This fixed the issue immediately for me. Thanks for making that .cmd; it made the process incredibly simple.

Launcher stuck on "Please wait while mods are being loaded..."

Got the solution! It's an issue with creeperrepo's DNS. http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/issues-with-connecting-please-report-them-here.33823/page-8#post-512683 Run the .cmd file (it's easy to check it's non-malicious, don't worry) in that post, and it should update your host file for...

Launcher stuck on "Please wait while mods are being loaded..."

I'm getting the exact same issue myself. I wish there was a cached list of modpacks (or at least the last used modpack) so we could launch it without having to worry about loading issues. I successfully pinged new.creeperrepo.net and launcher.feed-the-beast.com when I tried too.

    !Base Themes!

I want to make a crazy roller coaster style base where everything is automated by Railcraft and Steve's Carts, but with a lot of uphill and downhill sections crossing over and under and generally twisting all around. Bonus points for using jumping tracks.

    [Tinkers Construct] Smeltery Automation

Hmm...The best way I can think of is to have a casting basin with a fluiduct on it and a timer that counts up from when liquid is poured into it and then opens up the fluiduct onto a casting table. You might be able to use a comparator on a tank of some sort instead. Lastly, I assume it's doable...

The Term end game and resource collection.

Some advice for making worlds last longer: 1. Do things a different way, typically the less efficient the better. AE solved all your storage needs? Cool, now remake your system with logistics pipes. Or Thermal Expansion. Or golems even! It's all about the process. That's why I'm happy...

FTB Horizons - General Feedback Thread

There's a sort of thread for that on mod discussion, Fun with Archimedes Ships. Strong boxes and turtles seems like a good solution. AE fails when recompiled unfortunately.

FTB Horizons - General Feedback Thread

Tinkers Construct smelteries work; but don't leave liquids in them. AE fails, but wasn't deleted in my creative test. Thaumcraft works, but since infusion crafting has an air gap, you need to account for it and reactivate it after landing. TE conduits of any type didn't work, but I haven't tried...

making a MONSTER out of Monster

I'll have to try removing Mariculture then. I've been a little laggy on stock Monster since I need to upgrade to 64bit. I know a lot of people more used to ridiculously huge Resonant Rise style packs have complained about the lack of mods, but this is actually a great size for 1 gig of RAM. I...

FTB Monster mod pack listed - What do you think?

Good solution on the Biomes o Plenty issue. Personally, alternate terrain gen is one of the major reasons I love mods. Totally agree with you on Ars Magicka too. Geostrata appears to have different cobble, but I haven't looked too much into it. I'll have to see how common it is, really. If...

FTB Monster mod pack listed - What do you think?

I'm pretty happy with the size actually. I still haven't upgraded to 64bit, so this is pretty playable.
