In game documentation for computercraft peripherals (special open peripheral support)

This is exactly what I've been wanting to help me get into ComputerCraft. This, combined with dan200's recent reveal of Pocket Computers (built in modems! run in your inventory! :o), have definitely made me decide to jump into it. Thanks!

What's new in modded minecraft today?

    Whoops, forgot that link! http://www.reddit.com/r/feedthebeast/comments/1vyaj4/also_in_computercraft_16_pocket_computers/

What's new in modded minecraft today?

dan200 also posted another update to reddit: portable computers with built in modems, that run while in your inventory. Gentleman*, start your coding. *And ladies of course.

Logistic Crafting System with Furnaces and Co?

Actually, I think Dire said he was surprised, but the crafting pipe successfully imported from a rolling machine for him.

    Long lasting mods

Look into some of the new mods in Horizons. There's a lot of stuff in there most people haven't played with, and the experimenting should keep you busy. (While I feel like a broken record for plugging it yet again...) RotaryCraft is a *huge* mod and has been keeping me busy lately.

FTB Monster mod pack listed - What do you think?

Useful things in Rotary Craft you've missed: Spring Boots - early game boots of the traveler Terraformer - actually changes the biome type, unlike every other implementation of this Extractor - challenging to run, but gives the best yields on ores, including some not usually featured Fans -...

Why are The IC2 Addons Used Anymore?

It's possible to want some sort of change but but not like a specific kind of change. People complained it was stale and uninteresting. In response they... complicated crafting every single item? That's probably not the direction most people were hoping for. New machines, yes, new mechanics...

Why are The IC2 Addons Used Anymore?

I've had no issues with GraviSuite at least. I have issues with IC2's new direction, but there have been topics about it. I suppose fewer people relying on IC2 is also why you haven't seen more discussion of their absence though.

    MFR and Magical Crops

Adding support for Rotary Craft fans. 1 gasoline engine can run one well, and the auto replanting works perfectly. You just need a hopper or similar to collect drops. (And a dc engine and a fermenter to get started on ethanol I suppose.)

    Fun With Archimedes Ships

I've heard he has a .mrot file (how AS handles mod block rotations) for Railcraft. As far as I know, that's the only one that's actually been made so far though. I should message him about that. I don't know him, but it's worth a shot. Edit: I sent him a message on YouTube, because that was the...

What is Thaumic Restorers Essentia Usage?

Just one caveat: enabling that config apparently allows the cheatsheet to spawn as dungeon loot in survival, or so I've heard.

Industrialization v0.0.1 alpha: Less magic blocks, more giant awesome structures

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2317219-16x-forge-industrialization-v001-alpha-forget-about-your-magic-boxes-this-is-as-real-as-it-gets/ This looks interesting. I'm hoping it's more modular systems than multi blocks, but either way it's a step in the right direction. Edit: according to mod...

    Thank you MeteorCraft for ...

Of note in that change log: you can set dimension specific meteor spawning rates. Goodbye over world scarred by impacts, Hello resource rich and actually useful End! It seems like a great alternative to mining ages. Manual mining could always use a buff.

What is Thaumic Restorers Essentia Usage?

It seems like Fabrico is the way to go unless you have a ton of excess flint (or pulverize all your gravel). Considering you'd probably still want a tree farm for charcoal, I don't think I'd bother with Flint for an automated system. Is the rate of repair the same?

Dumb Tricks - Dumb/OP Mod Interactions Edition

Macerating? Pah, you need to get into RotaryCraft and use the Extractor. It chews through power and is a tricky mod to get into, but on *average* you get 5x returns on ores. I actually have excess Certus quartz without any auto mining.

    Interesting auto-mining solutions

Nice! I had no idea portals would actually work on a ship! That really makes things a lot more feasible to make a moving base, since you could have an easy way to and from. I'd tried Dimensional Doors, but they didn't like being moved. Mystcraft I figured I'd have to make a new link book back...

Dumb Tricks - Dumb/OP Mod Interactions Edition

It works with Nether Ores to turn 1 nether ore into 4 normal ones.

    Interesting auto-mining solutions

Well, that's the most interesting auto mining solution I've heard of so far! Could you make a showcase of that beast? I messed around a bit with AS, but I got annoyed with trying to find things that worked properly with it.

    Interesting auto-mining solutions

If you're doing Rotary Craft, it's probably better to look into using the Extractor for processing rather than jumping straight into auto mining. The output is insane, but it's a beast to run, so I'd suggest saving up in an Industrial Coil and doing it stage by stage as you'll get a lot more...
