What's new in modded minecraft today?

Well, it does make the open source nature of those mods apparent, which is important to some people. It's nice to know that even if the original mod author moves on, someone else can pick up where they left off. I understand there's perfectly valid reasons for mod authors not to want to open...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

I love everything about that Thaumcraft update except the removal of the Sword of the Zephyr/boat shenanigans. That was a nice harmless (AFAIK) little bug.

Powering and automating a RoC extractor

Wait, so are you saying that's specifically *not* supposed to be supported, like automating the basic bee houses in Forestry? Or do you just not want to force sided behavior (which would be tricky with all that extractors need anyway)?

Powering and automating a RoC extractor

I used gasoline engines (so underrated) with gear assemblies. I did one for stages 1 and 4 and another for 2 and 3. To extract between them, the only thing I could find to work was routers. I suspect Computer Craft could do it, but I lack the knowledge to check. I've give over my setup in...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

Am I the only one who kind of hopes most modders won't move over to 1.7 too quickly? It'd be nice to have 1.6 be a stable version for a while, since not many of the vanilla 1.7 features matter to me. Applied Energistics 2 being 1.7 (iirc) does entice me though...

    Getting started with rotarycraft

I started a basic guide to beginning Rotary Craft for that exact reason. The handbook is great, but it's overwhelming as an introduction. It's like trying to read the dictionary to learn English: it has everything you'd theoretically need, but it may not be the best tool. That's not to say the...

    Getting started with rotarycraft

It's worthwhile to note that fermentation is a pretty resource cheap process. You're not guaranteed to use up the ingredients in (I think) any step, so you can get quite a bit out of it. If you start using sheared (or MFR harvested) leaves for the 2nd step, you'll get way more ethanol crystals...

    Getting started with rotarycraft

Bedrock ingots are either made in the same furnace as HLSA steel or in a Thermal Expansion Induction Smelter. I've only got the TE method to work however. Industrial Coils can hold more than anyone can feasibly generate in Minecraft, as they're limited solely by the variable type (which I think...

    Minecraft Darwin Awards 2014

Hmm, I wonder if I've properly sealed off that Gas Turbine... jokermatt999 got sucked into a jet engine

    Finally...finally...getting somewhere (sortof) with RotaryCraft

Well, I forgot how damn compact my setup is, so the screenshots may not help, so I'll just describe how I have things set up. http://imgur.com/a/OzJtJ [E1][R1][R2][E2] Extractor 1 (E1) processes stages 1 and 4 via gas turbine. It has a 2x1 gearbox set to speed, since it only needs 512 torque...

    Finally...finally...getting somewhere (sortof) with RotaryCraft

I've been using a setup like that quite successfully. Give me a few minutes, and I'll have an imgur album and description of my setup. :)

    Getting started with rotarycraft

As far as I know, Metallurgy support isn't really in mostly because Reika hadn't used it much. There was some issue with Meteor Craft where he mentioned that. Ask about adding support? He usually responds quickly about feature requests. It'd certainly make Metallurgy/Extra TiCon more appealing...

    Getting started with rotarycraft

One area I know is lacking is item transport. Reika himself recommends using other mods for that. Personally, I find the liquid system it uses a little clunky, but it is functional. I also made a guide to starting Rotary Craft a while ago. I can't easily link it from mobile, but it is in my...

    Industrialization Suggestion Thread

Along the lines of VapourDrive's idea, I'd love to see a way to setup spatial storage, like automatically making a giant pile/cube of metal storage blocks. It'd definitely fit the large factory aesthetic. I don't know of a sensible way of doing this now. (Constantly running Builder? Turtle...

Dumb Tricks - Dumb/OP Mod Interactions Edition

He just posted about the fermenter values a few days ago: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1969694-16xforgesmp-reikas-mods-tech-worldgen-civilization-and-more/page__st__3420#entry28307078 I don't know what version Dr. Doomadore is using, but considering the speed at which Reika updates things...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

I think you may be able to pump steam out of TE's Steam Dynamos, but I've never tried. Gregtech can also make it with its boilers, if you have that installed. While it's not a direct universal power standard, steam seems to be a universal power fluid in that you can make pretty much any power...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

I'm not trying to excuse the community's shite behavior (seriously, when multiple people quit at the same time, something is *wrong*), but wasn't it partly due to his personal life? He also mentioned Curse, but that's a whole other can of worms.

    Rotarycraft - where to begin...

Personally, I prefer to start with a DC Engine and a Fermenter, then use the Ethanol from that to run Gasoline Engines for most things, including the Grinder without any gearing needed.

What's new in modded minecraft today?

I think it's mostly because ET just doesn't get used too often, much less the ore processing of it. It is a new mod to FTB. I think the lack of GUIs is interesting, but it also makes it harder to work with considering how the sheer amount of stuff a single block can do. I have to say though, it...
