    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

It is worth pointing out that there is a community of IC2 fans that go way beyond the "safe" designs we discuss here. Their reactor designs have efficiencies way in excess that can be achieved with our simple/safe designs, but tend to utilize reactor parts that wear out (neutron reflectors...

MOX is actually super safe to work with. Or at least, doesn't have to be dangerous at all. First, MOX CAN be used in the place of uranium fuel rods in a regular reactor. In that sense it works exactly the same. HOWEVER, as it generates more power the hotter the reactor is, it does open up the...

I did. It tells me there is a chestcart there, but does not expose its inventory.

Ive been trying to use railcarts as my medium/long distance transport mechanisim in AoE, but my plan of using Integrated Dynamics to run them has fallen flat as its inventory scanner can't see the chest cart. Any ideas on how I can get railcarts to load/unload automatically without too much...

I don't get the love for Thermal Expansion. A bunch of single block devices that do the exact same thing equivalently named blocks in other mods add, along with a pipe system that expresses more of the disadvantages of the old buildcraft pipe system.

The IC2 pipeline is: You burn your U235 (and a bit of 238) to produce EU and Plutonium in regular or steam reactors. You burn your U238 in a MOX reactor to produce EU and more plutonium. IF/when you run out of U238, the plutonium goes into RTG pellets. Obviously AoE hooks into this process with...

meh. Efficiency 3 reactors like this are are so boring. At any rate, the Reactor Plating used is simply a filler and is not crucial to the reactor at all. Its there to ensure there are no open inv slots, allowing you to use EIO or AE2 or even a hopper to pipe in new fuel rods. (Accompanied by a...

I had not read of any changes to how long IC2 fuel rods were meant to last. Typically they last for 10,000 ticks I think, which works out to 2h30 real time.

IC2 basalt does not occur in the world. It is created by placing Pahoehoe Lava source blocks in the world to cool.

I was avoiding these - the recipe wants horrid amounts of Iron in Aoe. But it is the pragmatic solution.

Ok, making a void miner, which needs triple compressed cobble. Is there any way to auto make this stuff before AE and fully automatic crafting?

The only thing I can think of is perhaps your java memory settings in MultiMC for the modpack are too small. But the default setting (Xmx1G) should simply not load AoE at all.

Which textures are wonky? The full install of AoE does include a custom resources directory with overrides for some AoE things. So the main menu, and some parts of the guide will probably look untextured if you don't install that.

If youre on the development branch of MultiMC then you should be able to directly import the modpack by downloading it from curse, and just dropping the .zip onto the MultiMC window. Assuming development builds of MultiMC are made for Mac...

Is there anything like a chart of power systems available in AoE? I need some 'relatively passive' power in Age 6 ish and want to try something new perhaps. So far my power has been coming from: ~32EU/t from IC2 solar cells. (Ive made a big array because its pretty rather than the...

If it got Temperature Tolerance -2 you should be able to multiply/stabilize it in a desert with a block of soulsand? nearby. I forget what the "nether" flower requirement needs exactly.

    1. Delete the Twitch / Curse app thingy. 2. Download MultiMC for your platform from https://multimc.org/ 3. If the version of MultiMC is still below 0.6, go to Settings > MultiMC > Features and set the update channel to "Development" and restart to update. 4. Download the Modpack's zip file from...

This thing? https://ftb.gamepedia.com/Escritoire I remember playing with it in an old modpack. Possibly the @CovertJaguar "DarkTower" lets play that was on 1.5.2 iirc. At that time you purchased hints using honeycomb - which seemed a waste and I just haven't considered looking at it since then...

Does breeding bees take literally hours of game time? I can't see any frames to make bees die faster in apiaries, or any machines to speed this process at all. Buildcraft is not here so the Apiarist's pipe is unavailable. I have about 12 Apiaries and 12 Bee Houses I am using for mutating bees...
