16/25 in of Log Horizon. Really loving the series so far. I would say why but I think that would be a spoiler.

The first thing I was told when I was encouraged to watch Fairy Tail was that the first few episodes weren't as good as the latter ones, which happens to be the case. Just have a bit of patience.

After seeing the first two episodes of Log Horizon I feel a little disappointed about the low stakes. It's not as dramatic as it would have been right off the bat otherwise, unlike the first arc of SAO, No Game No Life and Death Note, where life or death is at stake.

Log Horizon has been on my "watch later" list for a while. Probably about time I check it out.

I had the same experience. SAO was what really got me hooked on anime. But all throughout the second arc I wish they had continued the story of the first arc.

I've never thought that myself but it's true that the first half of it is more intriguing. Intriguing would be the right word since it's kinda intriguing like a werewolf game :P

Sounds like you guys haven't watched Death Note or Re:Zero. Those two are probably my favourite animes. Kiznaiver is also pretty great.

I started using this avatar just shortly before I got into watching anime. I'd argue that Pokemon has an anime series.
