Most stable Minecraft version for a modpack?

I tried a bunch of things. Every option has a downside and almost anything I do breaks the world I'm trying to fix up, or breaks chunks just from importing abd exporting. So, yup, mining dimension it is. I deliberately chose a smaller map and disabled things like quantum quarries and whatnot...

Most stable Minecraft version for a modpack?

So, I went down some rabbit holes and now I really want use some custom built world that someone made just for the scenery. The problem is, I'm pretty sure every block is what it is, so there's no way to spawn modded ores and whatnot. Is there any way around this? Any mod that could inject ores...

Most stable Minecraft version for a modpack?

I'm going to try to play the modpack straight. I had to add AA for my friend. She made it clear her only conditions were a hang glider (there's a standalone) and the AA drill (doesn't appear to be a standalone option, but would love to be corrected). Im gonna try to avoid using AA, but I'll...

Most stable Minecraft version for a modpack?

Dude. I think this pack looks absolutely perfect. I might have to add a couple of things to get my friend to play it (like a hang glider and a drill like AA, and funky locomotion if it's not in there already. Aaand, there it is. The fire has been lit!

Most stable Minecraft version for a modpack?

Subtle. So, this pack here is really meant to be a distraction for a friend of mine that is taking the weekend to quit smoking. So, I want familiar, but new enough to keep it interesting. I think if I popped her into one of the more advanced packs out there would just frustrate her into going...

Most stable Minecraft version for a modpack?

I almost forgot about this, lol Yeah, the more I'm thinking about it, the more it looks like 1.12 is the way to go. Especially now that some of the staples have all caught up. I would imagine most of the best new mods should be available for it.

Most stable Minecraft version for a modpack?

It's about that time again, my people are clamoring to get a new minecraft pack up. I want to put together a a quick pack for it, but I'm not sure where exactly to start. What version of Minecraft is the best to work with right now? Primary concern is stability, but mod selection is a factor as...

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

I don't think it's been updated in a whle, but I originally found it from Sprout - https://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/1-10-2-sprout.204422/ But I make my own modpacks, and pretty much every one of them since has included minecolonies. And that's because I never finish what I set out to do...

Every time I scroll my eyes over this thread title, I can't help but see it as "FTB: Beyond Single Player - Forever Alone Edition"

What's with all the super sized mod packs

I had that on there for a bit but it was breaking something else I need. I *think* it was both the replay mod AND Vivecraft. :( I'm not complaining about the load times, though. I was just pointing out that it's nothing to do with the "PC Master race" (or more specifically system specs). It...

What's with all the super sized mod packs

Not sure what you're getting at here. Java Minecraft is always on PC anyway, and I have a modest little beast and it still takes me forever to load a pack, too.

What's with all the super sized mod packs

Every time I try to make my own "small" pack, I end up with 200 mods. It's just how it goes, lol

Problem HELP! CodeChickenCore KILLS my UPC and FPS Minecraft 1.7.10

FWIW, that's exactly how I would have described my issues. Somewhere, there's a pile of entities trying to be rendered, and it's off to your left somewhere. It could be a lot of things. But I'm still pretty well convinced that's the issue, not the mods. It's actually incredibly rare that I've...

Problem HELP! CodeChickenCore KILLS my UPC and FPS Minecraft 1.7.10

Putting together a custom modpack is a pain in the butt. If your issue is that you're getting 1 frame every few seconds when you look in a direction, it's 100% an entity issue. What's causing that entity issue can be tough, but that's what it always is. I've run into the same issues on my own...
