It's not the standard symptom, but you might toggle vsync and see if that affects it.

CNN: Twitter asks: was the modder's civil rights violated? Stay tuned for Al Sharpton's response to the issue. Fox: Private business owner challenged by group of troublemakers! MSNBC: A highlight reel of this year's viral videos, followed by more Bill Cosby.

To be fair, the one mod I mentioned does say "ANY attempts to make money" which I think is pretty clear. I certainly don't have anything against pack makers getting donations or anything for their work. I just think there's a right way to do everything, and this is one situation where I don't...

But see, it doesn't matter whether the pack will be released eventually or not. Using a pack as an incentive to give money is the issue at hand. And he did indeed get a spike in subscriptions after the offer, so there's no question that he would have made money from the pack. That in and of...

Pewdiepie has nothing to do with it. And I just named a specific mod which has such a license. He obviously did step on toes, or there wouldn't be an issue. There would be significantly less drama in this community if people simply followed the terms asked of them, rather than choosing to...

Almost everything we deal with are first-world problems. That doesn't mean they're not problems. When someone goes to the effort to make something, and asks very little in return for you to use it, but someone chooses to ignore that anyway, then people should have a problem with that...

What bothers me about it is that guys like Bacon already make a living off of playing mods, so to do something which uses those mods as an incentive to make even more money just comes across as wrong. As for his explanation, sure it was nice of him to donate, but I have qualms with that...

    FTB - Curse Update

I don't know if Cobalt is the same as what MCF uses, but if so, I sincerely hope you guys don't switch to that. The post editor that they use now is just terrible, and it's been that way for months. I edit large posts for mods or multi-quote to several people, and all I ever seem to do is...

The branch still exists on Github, but I don't really have any idea what they mean to do with that one.

    FTB - Curse Update

I haven't heard anything about the new launcher's progress either, and the current launcher is still being actively developed, which is what prompted me to finally contribute to it as well. It's a pretty good piece of software, still with future potential, is cross-platform, and some smart...

    Private pack removal

Not just private packs, but I'd suggest there be a right-click menu to remove any pack. It could show "Install pack..." or "Uninstall pack..." depending on the state. And maybe also "Show folder" although I personally don't know how to do that cross-platform without looking into it...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

I don't think it's a bad thing, but as I commented in the Reddit thread, the cynic in me finds it hard to believe that it's simply a coincidence that only now after Microsoft bought them is Mojang going to efforts to hide Java from users.

What about SRG names though? If they can't be distributed then the client/server would have to pull them from the internet, and if they ever change that location or stop distributing them, then you're pretty much in the same boat of things possibly not working in the future.

I think part of why modders are always moving forwards is that there's no support for Forge once the next one is out. And I don't believe that the permission to redistribute mappings extends beyond the Forge team, so nobody else could really come along and create a Forge LTS (long-term support)...

I don't necessarily think staying in one place for too long is good. Things stagnate after a while. Major vanilla changes always result in an influx of new mods, new people, and new ideas. We're at one of those points again where many mods are likely just going to die off, and it's always a...

    1.8

Yeah 1.8/1.8.1's assets are only about 110MB, with about 43MB of libraries. My mod dev software downloads these during setup, so there's nothing else mixed in. If you have a lot of versions installed in the vanilla launcher though then your assets and libraries directories will be larger...

    Overated/Problematic/Misused Mods

I agree to an extent. I don't like all of the extra stuff in most cases, because frankly, if I'm playing with so many mods installed that I'd need WAILA to identify them, then that doesn't necessarily sound like a pack for me. The minimap is the one I would take exception to though, because...

What is One Thing You Have Always Wanted in Minecraft

When Notch first implemented double chests, it was a bit of a hack and it totally made sense for them to work the way they did. But it still bugs me that after all of this time that Mojang couldn't be bothered to add something as trivial as some variables to remember which two tile entities...

What mods do you feel have been ignored?

Treecapitator is one of those mods that people love or hate, which throughout its lifetime has been in popular packs then vanishes for a time. Like it was in the old Technic packs, then wasn't in Tekkit itself for a long while, but then it was back in their later packs like Tekkit Lite. I...
